THE BEAST
If you jump to this page without reading the truth about science and parts one through four of this subject you will not understand the symbology of the book of Revelation. You must understand that human civilization before the flood was highly advanced in the physical sciences, mathematics, and knowledge of the spiritual realm.
The knowledge of the world before the flood was kept in the minds of the seven survivors of Noah’s Ark. They taught those things to their children and grandchildren. Base 60 mathematics was the mathematics brought through the flood from the antediluvian world. It was the mathematical system in place in Mesopotamia for the first 2000 years after the flood up to the time of Nebuchadnezzar and beyond. 666 is the number of the name of the Beast which rises up from the sea and is a clue placed in the book of Revelation chapter 13 to look at the history of the people using that system to understand and recognize the Beast and his name.
(Rev 13:18 [KJV])
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
This section will be heavy on Biblical scriptures, other Hebrew scriptures, and the history of Israel. The entire book of Revelation is about the Messiah establishing His Kingdom upon the earth, replacing the kingdoms of the Gentiles, and how that kingdom grows and fills the entire earth over the following 1000 years. Then after a little season, Satan is loosed from the abyss and goes up once again to deceive the nations of the earth. Then we see the final battle as the nations once again surround Jerusalem (this battle is beautifully described in Psalms 2) and fire comes down from heaven and consumes the enemies of the Messiah. After this is the resurrection of all the dead (the second resurrection), the great white throne judgment, the redeemed of Yahusha enter into the eternal kingdom of Yahuah, and everyone else is thrown into the lake of fire which is the second death. Then Yahuah creates new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness forever.
The beasts we are looking at appear at the judgment of the Gentiles. This is an event that is imminent. It could very well happen in our generation if we do not repent.
It is not the end of the world. It is not the end of the age of the Gentiles. This is before the Messiah’s kingdom is established on the earth, before the 1000 years reign, before the little season that Satan is loosed, and before the final battle. This is not the end of the age of the Gentiles, the Gentile nations lose their dominance of the earth, but their lives (existence) are preserved for a time and a season according to Daniel 7:12. The “time” being 1000 years, and the “season” is the little season that Satan is loosed from the abyss.
(Dan 7:12 [KJV])
As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
Let’s begin with the scriptures under our investigation.
(Rev 13:1 [KJV])
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
(Rev 13:2 [KJV])
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
(Rev 13:3 [KJV])
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
(Rev 13:4 [KJV])
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
(Rev 13:5 [KJV])
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
(Rev 13:6 [KJV])
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
(Rev 13:7 [KJV])
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
(Rev 13:8 [KJV])
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
(Rev 13:9 [KJV])
If any man have an ear, let him hear.
(Rev 13:10 [KJV])
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
(Rev 13:11 [KJV])
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
(Rev 13:12 [KJV])
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
(Rev 13:13 [KJV])
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
(Rev 13:14 [KJV])
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
(Rev 13:15 [KJV])
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
(Rev 13:16 [KJV])
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
(Rev 13:17 [KJV])
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
(Rev 13:18 [KJV])
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
There are two beasts in this chapter. I will call them Beast 1 which is the beast that comes up from the sea, and Beast 2 which is the beast that comes up from the earth. They are quite different from each other.
Beast 1 precedes Beast 2. We need to know both of their identities in order to understand the prophecy.
Beast 1
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy
Leviathan is the monster of the sea in the Bible. But he is not only in the Bible, history is replete with mentions of the seven-headed dragon.
The concept of a seven-headed dragon or serpent appears in various folklore from different cultures around the world. Here are some examples:
-
Greek Mythology: The Hydra – In Greek folklore, the Hydra is a serpentine monster with seven heads. According to the legend, if one head is cut off, two more would grow in its place, making it a challenging foe to defeat. The Hydra is famously known for its encounter with the hero Heracles (Hercules in Roman mythology) as one of his twelve labors.
-
Hindu Mythology: Vritra – In Hindu mythology, Vritra is a seven-headed serpent or dragon associated with drought and the personification of chaos. Vritra was defeated by the god Indra, who slew the serpent and released the waters, ending the drought.
-
Slavic Mythology: Zmey Gorynych – Zmey Gorynych is a three-headed dragon in Slavic mythology, often depicted as a seven-headed dragon. It is a malevolent creature that appears in many Russian folktales and is often depicted as a powerful and fearsome adversary.
-
Chinese Mythology: Qiuniu – Qiuniu is a seven-headed dragon or serpent in Chinese mythology, often associated with floods and rain. Qiuniu is believed to be a servant of the water god, Gong Gong, and is sometimes depicted as a guardian of water sources or as a bringer of calamity.
-
Aztec Mythology: Cipactli – Cipactli is a seven-headed sea monster or dragon in Aztec mythology, associated with chaos and destruction. Cipactli was believed to be the first creature created by the gods and was eventually slain by the god Tezcatlipoca, who used its body to create the world.
These are just a few examples of the many instances of seven-headed dragons or serpents found in various folklore and mythologies around the world. The depictions and characteristics of these creatures may vary depending on the cultural context and the specific story or myth in which they appear.
All these civilizations are post-flood. They carry similar tales of a seven-headed serpent or dragon. I hope you a seeing that the Bible and other Hebrew scriptures are giving credence to some of the symbology of the idols we have looked at previously. There is a thread of truth running through the ancient stories of gods and kings.
Again all of these cultures began in Sumer, at Babel which is Babylon. All these cultures drank from the same cup of wine. The wine of the woman who sat upon the seven-headed scarlet-colored beast. In the Bible wine is often a metaphor for doctrine. Therefore the wine in the cup of the woman is the doctrine of idolatry that was re-established after the flood.
The Leviathan of the Bible is a seven-headed creature, created by God, who lives in the sea. The prophecy of his destruction can be seen many times in the Bible. Here is the prophecy that speaks directly to the judgment of the Gentiles. It is a prophecy to speaks directly to the destruction of Beast 1 specifically and of the variations of the seven-headed creatures in the book of Revelation indirectly.
(Isa 26:20, 21 and 27:1 [KJV])
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
Just to be clear, we have three seven-headed creatures in the book of Revelation. Revelation 12 is a seven-headed dragon who appears in heaven and is clearly identified as Satan. The seven-headed beast in Revelation 13 is Beast 1, and the seven-headed beast in Revelation 17 is upon whom the woman sits. The similarities and differences will be addressed before we a done, but for now, we are dealing with Beast 1 of Revelation 13.
Fortunately, we are not working in a vacuum. If a reader picked up the Bible for the first time and opened to Revelation 13 he could not possibly understand the scripture. We have the entire Bible, and other Hebrew scriptures to give context and to interpret the symbols.
Beast 1 is both a kingdom and a king.
The kingdom of Beast 1 is perfectly outlined by his body. Look at Verse 2 above
(Rev 13:2 [KJV])
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
We know from Daniel chapter 2 that the lion is the kingdom of Babylon during Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, the head of gold. The bear is the kingdom of the Medes and Persians that replaced Babylon, the breast and arms of silver. The leopard is the kingdom of Alexander the Great, the belly and thighs of brass. We know this interpretation is correct from Daniel chapter 7.
The top three maps do not scale out perfectly with each other however you can see the relative size of the Babylonian Empire compared to the Persian Empire compared to the Empire of Alexander the Great.
Alexander the Great’s empire included the modern-day countries of Greece, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, parts of Pakistan, and parts of northern India. Parts of the Persian Empire that Alexander did not conquer are Afghanistan, Balochistan, and modern-day Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia along with modern-day Armenia and Georgia. In addition to these territories, the Babylonian Empire included the countries of Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, and Israel.
So a more complete list of the Kingdom of Beast 1, either those completely under his control or those he is actively pursuing are Greece, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Afganistan, Balochistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, Israel and parts of Pakistan and northern India. This is the kingdom of the beast that rises up from the sea, which I am calling Beast 1.
You can see that this kingdom would control a great deal of wealth. The Middle East is strategically located with several important maritime chokepoints, including the Strait of Hormuz, the Suez Canal, and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. These chokepoints are critical for global maritime trade, as they serve as key transit routes for oil tankers, cargo ships, and other vessels. If the kingdom of Beast 1 has control over these critical maritime chokepoints, it would have significant leverage and influence over global shipping and trade. It could potentially exercise control over the flow of goods, including oil and other resources. It could use this control as a means of exerting political, economic, and strategic power worldwide. It would certainly be a force to be reckoned with.
The yellow areas are the modern-day countries that are defined by the body of the beast. The blue areas are what are likely to be added to his full domain if he were to come to power in this generation.
I am going to take you deeper into the New Testament prophetic scriptures to explain some of the allusions made to the teachings of the apostles. We do not have the actual teachings but they are alluded to by John, Paul, and others.
The scriptures talk about the AntiChrist and the Man of Sin. We must understand why this person was known to the first-century church and where that knowledge came from.
First, the AntiChrist. This one is pretty easy to explain from the scriptures. It is also the most important to understand.
The prophecies of a coming Messiah, in the family line of King David, are well known to all the children of Israel, from the time of Moses up to today. The children of Israel rejected Jesus as the promised Messiah and are still looking and waiting for their Messiah to this day. But to those Jews and Gentiles who know and recognize Jesus as the Messiah, we understand the New Testament scriptures to speak of a false Messiah who will come and who will be accepted by not only a blind Israel but by most of the world. This person is called the AntiChrist by the apostle John.
Here are the key scriptures: First Jesus speaks of him, then the apostle John.
Jesus is speaking to the people of Israel: (John 5:39 – 43 [KJV]) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Jesus said to those who rejected Him, that if another comes, HIM YE WILL RECEIVE. This is exactly what the entire world will do with this beast, Beast 1. They will worship him as a god. (Rev 13:4 [KJV]) And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
The apostle John speaks of this false Messiah in the following verses.
(1John 2:18 – 19 [KJV])
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
(1John 2:22 [KJV])
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
(1John 4:3 [KJV])
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(2John 1:7 [KJV])
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
John’s instructions in those letters are clearly referring to what he heard Jesus speak. He was an eyewitness to Jesus speaking those words. John fully understood Jesus to say that another person would come in his own name and that Israel would receive him. That is the reason John calls him anti Christ. Christ is the Greek word for Messiah. Anti Messiah, false Messiah, AntiChrist.
John defines who and what is an antichrist.
- Anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah)
- Anyone who denies the Father and the Son
- Anyone who denies that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, has come in the flesh
- They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
That final bullet point is a direct quote from 1 John 2:19 above. They went out from us, this means that the spirit of antichrist originated from the rejection of the first-century church teaching of Jesus as the Son of God, who came in the flesh, and is the promised Messiah to Israel.
There is only one major religion in the world that originated after the first-century church, that recognizes Jesus existence but denies that He is the promised Messiah to Israel, denies He is the son of God, and denies that a Son of God has come in the flesh.
That is the Muslim religion. Islam means submission to the will of god. Followers of Islam are called Muslims. Muslims submit to one god who in the Arabic language is known as Allah.
One of the three holiest sites in their religion is the Dome on the Rock in Jerusalem. These words are inscribed in gold on the interior of the building.
In the name of God, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but God. He is One. He has no associate. Unto Him belongeth sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise. He quickeneth and He giveth death, and He has Power over all things. Muḥammad is the servant of God and His Messenger. Lo! God and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation. The blessing of God be on him and peace be on him, and may God have mercy. O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning God save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God, and His Word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and say not ‘Three’ – Cease! (it is) better for you! – God is only One God. Far be it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is sufficient as Defender. The Messiah will never scorn to be a servant unto God, nor will the favoured angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him. Oh God, bless Your Messenger and Your servant Jesus son of Mary. Peace be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he shall be raised alive! Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt. It befitteth not (the Majesty of) God that He should take unto Himself a son. Glory be to Him! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. Lo! God is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him. That is the right path. God (Himself) is witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise. Lo! Religion with God (is) Islam. Those who (formerly) received the Book differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieves the revelations of God (will find that) Lo! God is swift at reckoning!
- They deny that God has a Son
- They deny that Jesus is the Messiah saying Jesus is a servant and the Messiah cannot be a servant
- They deny that Jesus was raised from the dead
This perfectly fits John’s definition of an antichrist.
- They came out of the first-century church’s teachings and rejected them.
- They deny that Jesus is the Messiah
- They deny that Jesus is the Son of God
- They deny that Jesus the Messiah has come in the flesh
I believe the beast that comes up from the sea, Beast 1, will be a revival of the Caliphate system. The Caliphate system is a form of Islamic government that originated in the 7th century CE following the death of Prophet Muhammad. The term “caliphate” derives from the Arabic word “khalifa,” which means “successor” or “deputy.” The caliph, also known as the khalifa, is considered the political and religious successor to Prophet Muhammad, serving as the leader of the Muslim community.
Therefore the Caliphate is the kingdom and the Caliph is the king.
The Caliphate system ruled much of the middle east and northern Africa for more than 1000 years until it was finally abolished in 1924 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, as part of his secularization reforms.
This is what a modern-day Caliphate system would look like. This would be the Islamic State. If this is the kingdom of Beast 1 then the Caliph would have 10 kings ruling under him, which are the 10 horns on the beast. The chart below is from the Pew Research Center. It shows the top 10 countries with the largest Muslim populations as of 2009. This will give you an idea of how Beast 1 will set up his governing system. This is not set in stone, but is just an example of how these things will come to be.
Again, this research comes from the Pew Research Center and is dated 2009.
If these were the horns, then it would be problematic for the little horn to pluck up three of the first horns by the roots. For that reason, I think the Caliphate to come will be more concentrated than today’s distribution of Muslim population. However, this should give you a mental picture of what the beast that rises up from the sea is and a good idea of what it is going to look like.
I personally think the Caliphate will be constrained to the original kingdoms of Babylon, Medes and Persians, and Alexander the Great. My choices for the probable locations of the seats of the 10 horns are these:
- Greece: Athens, as it is the historical and cultural capital of Greece.
- Turkey: Istanbul, also known as Constantinople, has been a significant city in the region for centuries and has a rich historical and cultural heritage.
- Iran: Tehran, the current capital of Iran, would be a likely choice due to its central location and administrative importance.
- Iraq: Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, has historically been a major center of power and governance.
- Egypt: Cairo, the capital of Egypt, would be a natural choice as it is the largest city in the country and has a long history as a cultural and political center.
- Afghanistan: Kabul, the current capital of Afghanistan, would likely be chosen as it is the largest city in the country and has traditionally served as its political and administrative center.
- Balochistan: Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province in Pakistan, could be considered as a regional seat due to its significance within the territory.
- Turkmenistan: Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, could be a potential choice due to its central location within the country.
- Uzbekistan: Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, could be a suitable choice as it is the largest city in the country and has historical significance.
- Syria: Damascus, the capital of Syria, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and has traditionally served as a center of power.
Now let’s look at the extent of the influence of his kingdom. The borders of his kingdom are well-defined by the lion, bear, and leopard. The influence of his kingdom must be determined.
(Dan 7:23 [KJV])
Thus he said, The fourth beast (Beast 1) shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.;
Parts of Daniel are written in Aramaic. The phrase whole earth is כָל־אַרְעָֽא (khol-ar’a). There are several occasions of this phrase in the Bible. Some indicate the entire planet, and others indicate the entire kingdom that is being referenced.
(Ezra 1:2 [KJV])
Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
In this verse (above) it is clearly a reference to the kingdom of the Medes and Persians only.
(Dan 4:11 [KJV])
The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
This verse (above) is in reference to Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom of Babylon.
(Dan 2:35 [KJV])
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
This verse (above) we are certain, by understanding the entire Bible, is a reference to the entire planet.
In all of the examples above we are looking at כָל־אַרְעָֽא (khol-ar’a). So it could mean the region he reigns over or it could mean all of humanity on the planet. Even though the book of Daniel and Ezra does not make it clear, when we add Greek from the book of Revelation the meaning becomes unmistakable.
(Rev 13:3 [KJV])
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
In these verses above, the Greek is clearly talking about all meaning of the whole earth, or all meaning of every ethnicity, language, and nation. The words are ὅλος, holos, and πᾶς pas. The meaning combined with כָל־אַרְעָֽא khol-ar’a is quite clear. His influence will be worldwide.
Now we know the location of the kingdom that he reigns from and the strength of his influence beyond his borders. Next, I will tell you his name, the number of his name, and the symbol of his name. After that, I will focus on his past and see if we can figure out who he was, is not, and yet is…that is his identity.
His name is Thrasso in Hebrew, and in Greek it is Thrasos. In Hebrew, it is written תרסו. Hebrew is written right to left. ת (tav), ר (resh), ס (samekh), ו (vav). In classical Arabic, it would be “ترسو” (Tarsū) which also has a numerical value of 666.
The number of his name is ת (tav) = 400 ר (resh) = 200 ס (samekh) = 60 ו (vav) = 6 = 666.

Some languages have a numerical value for each letter in their alphabet. Hebrew is one of those languages. The practice is called Gematria.
There are countless combinations of letters you can use to arrive at 666. Based on my experience of loving, reading, and studying the word of God for the last 40 years, I am sure this is the correct one.
Here is why:
This is one of the first verses I took to heart when I began studying the Word of God. I have found countless times these words to be true. Once you understand what God is saying it is straightforward. He says exactly what He means.
תרסו is the simplest, most straightforward way to arrive at 666 using Gematria. Once you translate that into a proper name, just as God said it is a name, then you arrive at Thrasso.
Thrasso in Hebrew, Thrasos in Greek, is a demon.
Beast 1 is a man.
Beast 1 is a demonically driven man and we know that to be true because the Word of God says so.
(Rev 16:13-14 [KJV])
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, (Beast 1), and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
According to the website, theoi.com, Thrasos is a demon from Greek mythology. This is what they have to say about him.

Aeschylus, Agamemnon 763 ff (trans. Weir Smyth) (Greek tragedy C5th B.C.) :
“But an old Hybris (hubris) tends to bring forth in evil men, sooner or later, at the fated hour of birth, a young hubris and that irresistible, unconquerable, unholy spirit (daimon), Thrasos (Recklessness), and for the household black Ates (Curses), which resemble their parents. But Dike (Righteousness) shines in smoke-begrimed dwellings and esteems the virtuous man.”

BIBLIOGRAPHY
A complete bibliography of the translations quoted on this page.
If you find this a little far out let me remind you of a few supporting facts we have encountered so far.
- We already have run into a creature released from the bottomless pit who in the Greek language is known as Apollyon, but in the Hebrew language is called Abaddon. We showed in Part 3 that Apollyon was Nergal from the Enuma Elish and The Epic of Gilgamesh
- We showed that the seven-headed dragon in Revelation 12 was identified as that old serpent called the devil and Satan. We also showed that the seven-headed dragon was also called Leviathan in Isaiah 27:1. We also showed that many cultures around the world have legends of seven-headed. dragons or serpents.
- I can also prove to you from scripture that demons have names. (Luke 8:26-30 [KJV]) And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
4. One of the characteristics of this type of demon is described as a spirit of delusion. Consider this verse from 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
5. Next I will show you that his very name exposes the mark of the Beast.
ת (tav), ר (resh), ס (samekh), ו (vav) written in Hebrew, right to left is תרסו.
I am going to take from the expert work of Jeff A. Benner, founder of The Ancient Hebrew Research Center, and in my opinion the foremost expert on the Hebrew language. His website is www.ancient-hebrew.org
Mr. Benner does not know me and is unaware of what I am writing. I do not in any way want to infer that he agrees or disagrees with my conclusions. I simply appreciate the work he has put into his research on the progression of the Hebrew alphabet over time and the roots and meanings of each letter.
Mr. Benner has researched the Hebrew alphabet from its original pictographic form and its evolution to its present form. He gives pictorial examples of the evolution and also the root meaning of each letter. The original pictographic form tells the story of the letter and has a literal meaning. If you follow along you will see how the word communicates its meaning through the symbols of each letter. It literally tells the story of the meaning of the word one letter (picture) at a time.
תרסו The meaning of each letter in this name literally means Mark, Head, ס, Attached or Connected
ת Tav
ר Resh
ס samekh
ו Vav
The samekh letter is the mark of the beast. What form it will take is uncertain. Mr. Benner has given some of his ideas of the different forms of the letter throughout history, but the final form I am unsure of at this time. It represents a thorn. The thorn was the result of the curse of God upon the earth for the sin of Adam. It is fitting that the mark of the Beast will be a thorn, the result of the sin of man, as the symbol of the Man of Sin. (2Thess 2:3-4 [KJV]) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
תרסו is the name of the beast, the number of his name, and contains the symbol or mark of his name. When you understand the meaning of each letter in his name, תרסו, it means the mark on the head, ס, means you are connected to or belong to him. Tav = The mark, Resh = on the head, Samekh = the actual mark of the beast, Vav = attached, or belongs, to him.
We have looked at the body of Beast 1 and uncovered the geography of his kingdom. We have looked at the name of Beast 1 and uncovered his demonic name, the number of his name, the symbol of Beast 1, and the meaning of his name. Now let’s look at the heads, horns, and crowns of Beast 1 to see if we can uncover the information contained in these symbols.
(Rev 13:1 [KJV])
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
The book of Revelation will interpret most of this for us. We have heads, horns, and crowns. These are easy because other passages in the book of Revelation define them as follows: Heads= empires, Horns = kingdoms, and Crowns = kings. Let’s look at the verses.
(Rev 17:9 [KJV])
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
(Rev 17:10 [KJV])
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
(Rev 17:11 [KJV])
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
(Rev 17:12 [KJV])
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
The only mystery here is the meaning of mountains. Mountains in the Bible, when the context is speaking metaphorically is almost always kingdoms. Mountains and hills are things lifted up in the sense of authority other than God’s authority. In this particular case, we are looking at empires, ruling over vast territories that have been conquered. We know that because the Woman is sitting upon these empires and we identified the Woman in Part 3 as the worship of other gods re-established by Nimrod at Babylon. Hence the name(s) of blasphemy is upon their heads.
We discussed the Woman in some detail in Part 3, but just as a quick review for clarity in interpreting these symbols.
(Rev 17:3 [KJV])
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
(Rev 17:4 [KJV])
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
(Rev 17:5 [KJV])
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
(Rev 17:6 [KJV])
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
She is the mother, she gives birth to HARLOTS and ABOMINATIONS. Harlotry in the Bible symbolizes worshipping other gods. Idols are always referred to as abominations. Harlotry and Abominations are Idolatry and Idols.
The beginning of the Woman’s Harlotry and Abominations was at Babel aka, Babylon.
Knowing this, we now know that the 7 empires ( 7 heads ) are post-flood. The time of the revelation given to John was after 70 CE and before 100 CE. This was the time of the Roman Empire. Going back to Rev 17:10 above we see that 5 of these empires fell before the Roman Empire. The number 6 empire is the Roman Empire and the number 7 empire (the Empire of Beast 1) has not yet come.
(Rev 17:10 [KJV])
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
There have been many empires since the Roman Empire, but those other empires are irrelevant.
Why?
What do the first 6 empires have in common that all subsequent regional and world-dominating empires could not possibly have?
The answer is Israel.
Israel was destroyed in 70 CE, but before being destroyed she was ruled by #6 the Roman Empire (63BCE-70CE), #5 the Hellenistic Empire (332-63 BCE), #4 the Persian Empire (539-332 BCE), #3 the Babylonian Empire (609 – 539 BCE), #2 the Assyrian Empire (722 – 609 BCE), and #1 Egypt when Israel was a stranger in the land and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. That nation Yahuah judged. (Isa 52:4 [KJV]) For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
(Egypt worshipped that same pantheon of gods from the Enuma Elish and the Epic of Gilgamesh in Part 3. I should have written about Shamash, the sun god, aka Ra in Egypt so you could see at least one connection. I thought the section was dragging on a bit so I cut it short. Therefore the Woman would have been sitting upon Egypt, head #1.)
In 1948 Israel regained part of their original land and became a sovereign nation once again. This had to take place before Empire #7 ( the Empire of Beast 1 ) could arise. That is the reason none of the empires from the time of Israel’s destruction in 70 CE by the Roman Empire until now could be considered a candidate for Empire #7. Empire #7, the Empire of Beast 1, the Beast that rises up from the sea, will once again subjugate Israel.
Remember we have seven heads on the beast that rises up from the sea. These are the seven empires that rule over Israel. At the time of the revelation to the apostle John, sometime after 70 CE and before 100 CE, five of these empires had fallen, i.e., their rule over Israel had come and gone. These are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and the Empire of Alexander the Great. One still existed, Rome and one was yet to come, the Empire of the Beast.
Each of the past empires had multiple rulers during the time that they ruled over Israel. The same will be true of Empire #7, the Empire of the Beast. There is King #7 in this empire and there is King #8. Let’s look at Rev 17:11 again.
(Rev 17:10-11 [KJV])
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
King #7 will be the head of this empire. He will be assassinated. He will die from a wound to the head. The empire will go on without him. Yet during this same generation, he will arise from the dead and return to rule his kingdom once again as King #8.
(Rev 13:3, 4b [KJV])
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast…and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
This is what the scriptures say when you truly understand them. I am going to give you the understanding of the supporting scriptures to help you if you have bought into all the Seventy Weeks of Daniel teachings that have been peddled by Balaam’s proteges over the years. These are the people who couldn’t wait to make a buck selling their books, tapes, CDs, etc. telling you what these scriptures mean, even if they did not have a clue.
By the way, everything I have written on Yeetfire.com is free. There will never be a paywall, never be any advertising, never be any request for donations, nor will any donation be accepted. There will never be any money associated with the telling of the truth at Yeetfire.com. When I have used pictures, graphics, videos, and other content from outside sources I have tried to give the proper credit to the source. I cannot speak for their policies on content, but for everything I have written, it will forever be free.
If God has permitted me to learn anything from Him, then He gave me that knowledge and understanding without charge. Jesus, whom I follow, who is my example, said to His disciples, “freely you have received, freely give.” The Gospel is not for sale, period, no exceptions.
One more thing, then I will get back to the scriptures. Every disciple whom Jesus called, He called with the same two words, follow Me. If He has called you, then you are called to follow Him, follow His Example. Jesus never took up an offering before, during, or after His teaching. Jesus never took up an offering before, during, or after healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons. I will write extensively about this in the section on what the Bible really says. Now back to the Book of Revelation.
Let’s look at a couple of scriptures that give you an idea of the time frame for Empire #7, the Empire of the Beast that rises up from the sea, Beast 1.
In Matthew chapter 24, and Mark chapter 13, and Luke chapter 21, we have Jesus teaching about the signs of the coming of the Kingdom of God. We know that this final empire, Empire #7, which includes Beast 1 and Beast 2 (who we haven’t got to yet), will be destroyed when the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: then, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever, the 1000 year reign begins. This is the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. Mountain, here once again is a kingdom, The Kingdom of God.
After His teaching on the events to come Jesus gives this parable.
(Luke 21:29-32 [KJV])
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees. When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
It is a generation that will see the events described in the Book of Revelation that lead up to the coming of and the subsequent destruction of the final Gentile Empire that will subjugate and rule over Israel.
Once that is completed, and still during that generation then the Kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of our Lord and Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.
This is the Kingdom of God, on the earth, which starts out as a stone cut without hands (Jesus) who destroys the final Gentile Empire, the Empire of Beast 1, and then becomes a mountain, that fills the earth. This is a 1000-year process, a stone becoming a mountain that over time fills the earth.
This generation that Jesus talks about will see the rise of the final Empire, it will see this Empire grow in power until it dominates all other kingdoms on earth, it will see the rise of King #7, the assassination of King #7, and the return of King #7 to power which will make him King #8.
During this generation there will be 10 horns, the horns are kings who have no kingdom until King #7 comes to power. Then those horns, kings, are given kingdoms by King #7 which become fiefdoms of King #7 when they agree to give their authority to him. Here are those scriptures again.
(Rev 17:12 -13 [KJV]) And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
ONE HOUR is what I want you to see here. The proper interpretation of ONE HOUR in this scripture is ONE GENERATION.
Let me explain. The apostle Peter thought that of all the mysteries in scripture, and there are many, there is one in particular that the elect of God should not be ignorant of. I agree. Unless you understand this mystery, you will not understand God’s preplanned purposes for heaven, earth, and mankind. You will also not be able to correctly understand some scriptures.
(2Pet 3:8 [KJV])
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
There are occasions in scripture when you must understand the epoch of time that you are dealing with.
Is a day, a day, a year, an event, or even 1000 years?
When you become familiar with scripture, generally speaking, the context will give you the answer. In this case, we need to determine ONE HOUR. There is only one interpretation of ONE HOUR that will allow for the contextual events to occur. There are 24 hours in a day. If the day is a 1000-year day, then ONE HOUR in this day would be 1000 years divided by 24 which is 41.67 years. About one generation in Bible terms.
People try to say that the generation that Jesus spoke of is the final generation of mankind. That is not the case. This generation (that will not pass away until all those things that He spoke of are fulfilled), will see the years of tribulation, the rise and fall of the Beasts, and the beginning of the Kindom of God on Earth. Then another 1000 years will go by, plus a little season, etc. as I explained in the opening of this section.
People get caught up in the erroneous Seventy Weeks of Daniel teachings so they misunderstand the time frame of Revelation 13.
Everyone I have ever listened to tries to explain the Seventy Weeks (weeks of years, or 490 years) with a bad premise. The Seventy Weeks, 490 years, are not years of punishment on Israel as they teach. The Seventy Weeks are 490 years of restoration and building of Jerusalem. During that time many things must take place as outlined by the scriptures.
(Dan 9:24 [KJV])
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
(Dan 9:25 [KJV])
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
(Dan 9:26 [KJV])
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
(Dan 9:27 [KJV])
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
There is a lot to unpack here, but it is not as complicated as it appears at first glance.
The seventy weeks are seventy weeks of years. That is 70years x 7days in a week = 490 years.
First this verse: from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
The quick explanation is that from the time Artaxerxes I Longimanus gives the decree to Ezra in 457 BCE to rebuild Jerusalem, to the arrival of Messiah the Prince (Jesus), is 69 weeks of years or 483 years which puts it at 26 CE. If Jesus was born in 4 BCE as is commonly assumed that would put Him at about 30 years of age when He began His ministry, just as the Bible says.
Once the Messiah has arrived we have a pause in the Seventy Weeks.
69 weeks until His arrival and the beginning of His ministry. Then the Seventy Weeks countdown pauses. I’ll tell you why in a minute.
Next this verse: And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:
This is the length of Jesus’ ministry. Threescore and two weeks from His baptism by John the Baptist until His crucifixion. (this is the correct length, not the 3.5 years many people erroneously teach). These are real weeks, 62 weeks, or 1 year and 10 weeks.
Once the Messiah was cut off, from that point in time onward we have,,,
…and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Then this verse happens… And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: …and the Seventy Weeks clock starts ticking again… and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Now here is the proper way to understand the SEVENTY WEEKS OF DANIEL prophecy.
The seventy weeks begin from the time Artaxerxes I Longimanus gives the order to restore and build Jerusalem. Artaxerxes I Longimanus was the fifth King of the Kings of the Achaemenid Empire. Israel was still under the rule of a foreign empire. This is the first condition that must be met in order for the Seventy Week countdown to be in effect. The second condition was that Israel was granted permission to restore and build Jerusalem, by a foreign power that is ruling over them.
So when a foreign government, that has taken away Israel’s sovereignty, makes a written agreement granting Israel permission to restore and build Jerusalem the clock starts ticking. The Jews are allowed to return from exile to their land and to restore their city and their temple.
When Jesus begins His ministry, the clock stops, because the rightful King of Israel is in the land of Israel. One of the two conditions for the clock to be ticking has been violated. The clock has stopped at 69 weeks. Even though everyone may think they are still under the control of the Roman Empire in reality they are not, Jesus is. This is evident when Jesus pronounces judgment on Jerusalem.
Once Jesus ascends into heaven after His death and resurrection He is no longer in the land, however, the restoration and building of Jerusalem order of Artaxerxes I Longimanus has been terminated by Jesus himself. So the clock cannot begin again.
(Luke 19:41-44 [KJV])
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
The destruction of Jerusalem—not the restoration—was pronounced upon Jerusalem by Jesus Himself.
The clock cannot start again until two conditions are met.
- A foreign government must take away Israel’s sovereignty.
- An agreement must be given to Israel, by whoever is ruling over them, to resume restoring their city and temple.
In 70 CE the Roman Empire destroyed Jerusalem in the very manner that Jesus declared it would be.
In 1948 Israel was given back their statehood, but sovereignly, so the clock cannot begin.
Israel must lose their sovereignty before the clock can start again.
In order to understand this part of the prophecy we need to understand not only Beast #1 but also Beast #2, the beast who comes up from the earth, aka, the False Prophet.
I will take on many of the prophecies concerning the false prophet in the next section. It is a lengthy subject, but I want to touch on this now. The SEVENTIETH WEEK of Daniel is the covenant Beast #2 confirms with Israel.
Dan 9:27 [KJV])
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: (the clock is ticking again) and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
This refers to the restore and build Jerusalem covenant. In order for this to be the seventieth week, the covenant he CONFIRMS must refer back to Israel’s permission from an oppressor to continue restoring a building in Jerusalem.
As the apostle Paul clearly refers to this covenant in 1 Thessalonians 5:3.
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
This leaves no doubt that Beast #2 is the little horn. We will get into that in the next section.
Back to Beast 1.
We have pretty well covered verses 1-4 of chapter 13 along with a lot of chapter 17
These are those verses 1-4 again so you can compare them as we go along
(Rev 13:1-4 [KJV])
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
These are the verses we have not addressed up to this point.
(Rev 13: 5-10 [KJV]
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
There is a linear progression to the revelation of this beast in the scriptures. It is important to understand the time frame of the progression to properly understand them. Verses 1,2, and the first half of verse 3 are about the beast before his assassination and could possibly be as long as 35 years. This is the time when the Caliphate is formed and he comes to power as king #7, to his assassination, and up to his return from the dead to become king #8. From the second half of verse 3 and forward we are into the forty-two months time frame that the rest of the verses talk about.
Here is what takes place during the forty-two months of Beast 1, King #8:
- The whole world wanders after the beast
- The whole world worships the beast
- His ability to overcome death makes it impossible to make war with him
- He begins to revile God and all those who dwell the heavens
- He goes to war with the SAINTS of God and overcomes them
- He extends his will worldwide
- He kills everyone who will not worship him
What is interesting here is many of the things in this list that are credited to the actions of Beast 1 are credited to the actions of Beast 2, the false prophet, also called the LITTLE HORN in the book of Daniel. This can be confusing to some. What you need to understand is that Beast 2, the little horn, serves Beast 1. Beast 2 is part of the kingdom of Beast 1. Therefore what Beast 2 does he does in the name of Beast 1. Consequently, Beast 1 is said to be doing the things that Beast 2 is carrying out.
Here are those verses from Daniel:
Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
Dan 7:19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
Dan 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
Dan 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time
We are going examine Beast 2, aka the False Prophet, aka the LITTLE HORN in the next section in great detail.
This will end this section on the beast that comes up from the sea, Beast 1. I want to summarize what we have learned so far.
- In verse 1 we have a beast come up from the sea with seven heads, ten horns, ten crowns, and the name of blasphemy. The seven heads are the seven kingdoms that have or will rule over Israel. Those heads represent Egypt, the Assyrian Empire, the Babylonian Empire under Nebuchadnezzar, the Persian Empire, the Hellenistic Empire, The Roman Empire, and the Empire of the Beast. The ten horns with ten crowns are the ten kings that will rule the territories of the Caliphate with the Caliph. The name of blasphemy is the name of the Caliph who claims to be god.
- In verse 2 we have the body of the beast which is the combination of a leopard, a bear, and a lion. This is the territory of the beast which is the former kingdoms of Alexander the Great, the Medo-Persian Empire, and the Babylonian Empire at the time of Nebuchadnezzar. We know that this will become a Caliphate and that a Muslim Caliphate is by definition AntiChrist.
- In verse three we see that the generation in which this Caliphate gains power sees the death of the Caliph and his return from death. This beast/Caliphate could come to power for an entire generation, but when the beast returns from the dead his kingdom will be on a 42-month lease from God.
- In verse 18 we see the number of the name of the beast is 666. We know that name is תרסו in Hebrew which translates to the name Thrasso. We know the name Thrasso is a demon from ancient Greek culture characterized having rashness, insolence, recklessness, and excessive boldness as traits along with a spirit of delusion.
- We learned that the letters of the name of the beast, תרסו, literally means the mark on the head (which is the symbol of a thorn) means you belong to him.
- We learned the correct understanding of the Seventy Weeks of Daniel prophecy and why the clock stopped when Jesus began His ministry and why the clock cannot start again until Israel loses their sovereignty and a restore and build Jerusalem covenant is granted by their oppressor.
- We learned that once the Caliph is killed and then returns, upon his return to power he will have 42 months to reign. In those 42 months, he will be allowed to exert his will worldwide, make war with the SAINTS and overcome them, demand that the entire world worship him or be killed, open his mouth against God and those who dwell in the heavens, and more.
- We have also learned a few things about Beast #2, aka the False Prophet, aka the LITTLE HORN.
The 12th Iman
The Muslim community is looking forward to the re-appearance of Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi, who is believed to be in occultation and will return at a later time as the Mahdi.
“In occultation” refers to the belief within Shia Islam that the twelfth and final Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, went into a state of occultation or hiddenness. According to Shia belief, Imam al-Mahdi went into occultation in the 9th century and is still alive, but hidden from the public eye. During his occultation, Imam al-Mahdi is believed to be in contact with his followers through his representatives known as “Deputies” or “Nawwabs.”
Shia Muslims believe that Imam al-Mahdi will reappear at the end of time as the Mahdi, a messianic figure who will bring about justice and establish a righteous society.
The belief about the Mahdi among Muslims also varies, and there are different interpretations and understandings of this concept. However, there are some common beliefs shared by many Muslims regarding the Mahdi:
-
A Guided Leader: The Mahdi is generally believed to be a guided and righteous leader who will appear in the end times. He is seen as a spiritual and political figure who will embody justice and lead the Muslim community toward righteousness.
-
Restoring Justice and Equity: The Mahdi is believed to have a mission of establishing justice, equity, and peace in the world. He is seen as a reformer who will rectify the corruption and oppression prevailing at the time of his appearance.
-
Universal Recognition: It is commonly believed that the Mahdi will be recognized by a divine sign and will have widespread acceptance and recognition among Muslims. His appearance will bring unity and harmony among believers.
-
Role in the Last Days: The Mahdi is often associated with the signs of the Day of Judgment. It is believed that he will emerge before the return of Jesus (Isa), and together they will combat falsehood and prepare the world for the final events leading to the Day of Judgment.
Isa Masih is the Arabic name for Jesus Christ. In Islamic belief, Jesus, known as Isa Masih in Arabic, is considered a significant prophet and messenger of God. Jesus is not considered the son of God or part of the Trinity, as in Christian theology, but rather a prophet and servant of God. Islamic teachings also affirm that Jesus will return to earth in the future, alongside Imam al-Mahdi, to establish justice and defeat the Antichrist (Dajjal) before the Day of Judgment.
If you research the actions that Muslims teach about these two future figures you will see that they line up quite well with what the Bible teaches about Beast #1, the Caliph, and Beast #2, the False Prophet.
Now let’s move on to the next section.
